  • Overhauled the Affiliate Sales Tax report. The approach being used no longer worked with the new tiered BP rates. The CSV dump the report offers is now much more detailed and is useful in auditing things at the lot level.
  • Introducing a new user type called ‘Affiliate User’.
    • Affiliate users will now find a link labeled: 'Manage Affiliate Users' on the 'Reports / Tools' tab of their dashboard.
    • These new accounts will enable an Affiliate to establish individual users that can operate under that Affiliates domain.
    • These Affiliate Users will be managed by the Affiliate (in effect those existing Affiliate accounts will become the Primary Affiliate or Affiliate Admin, not sure what terminology to use. I will just refer to them as Affiliate and Affiliate User). For now, an Affiliate User will ‘belong’ to a single Affiliate. Later it might be possible for a single Affiliate User to be associated with more than one Affiliate.
    • The role based permissions are still being worked out / better defined. The Manage Affiliate Users page has more detail on how things stand now. Any feedback is appreciated.

    • Fixed issue with redirects after login. When a user accesses a page requiring authentication they should be asked to login if they are not already. They then should be returned to the page they were on. For the last few months however the redirect has been broken and after logging in, users were sent to the dashboard, instead of the page that they landed on which required them to authenticate.

    • Now preventing Affiliates from altering the 'company name’ attribute on their account. It will now just be Admin's that can adjust it. This is to prevent issues tied to integrations with QuickBooks.

    • Added lot image thumbnails to the 'recently viewed items’ section used on the left sidebar of some pages.

    • Added ability for a bidder to 'delete' their account.
      • The bidder’s account page now has a link labeled “Close Account”.
      • This is a permanent action. The bidder will need to open a new account if they want to return. When deleting/closing (deactivating is really more accurate) the bidder account we append '.off’ to the email address so that if they do return someday they can use that same email address.
      • After a bidder deletes their account they are logged out. With their account deleted they can no longer login to the site.
      • Made changes to the Bidder Data Export page used by Administrators. Has more criteria options specific to the type of bid restriction. Also added filter for the new concept of ‘deleted’ bidders.
      • A number of other areas of the site were also touched to reflect this new bidder status of ‘deleted’: bidder list, bidder detail page, etc

    • Added a new No Sale Explanation/Note type called ‘Affiliate Approved’.
      • Use of this new type is limited to Administrators.
      • The intended use is for Admin's to track affiliate use of wrong invoice status/notes?
